Rwandan giants, APR will confront Sudanese side, El Merreikh in the semi-finals of the ongoing of the Cecafa Kagame Cup in Sudan’s Darfur region.

El Merreikk booked their place in the last four after coming from behind to hold compatriots, Al Ahly Shandy 1-1 before prevailing 3-2 on post-match penalties at El Fasher.

Amisi Tambwe, the Vital’O captain lifts the Cecafa Kagame Club Cup trophy following the Burundi team’s 2-0 victory over APR of Rwanda in the final at the El Fasher Stadium, North Darfur on Monday night.

BURUNDI’s Vital’O sensationally won the 2013 Cecafa Kagame Club Cup by beating three-time champions APR of Rwanda 2-0 in an epic final on Monday night at the jam-packed El Fasher Stadium.

It was Vital’O’s first ever regional title despite being the perennial Burundi representatives in the 38-year-old tournament.

3rd and 4th playoffs:

Al MERREIKH El Fasher brought massive joy to the home support by beating Rayon Sport of Rwanda 1-0 on Monday evening to win the Bronze Medal on the final day of the Cecafa Kagame Club Cup tournament here in Sudan.

Results Vital’O:

V Al Merreikh El Fasher (Sudan), won 1-0

Elman (Somalia),  drew 1-1

APR (Rwanda), drew 1-1

V Ports (Djibouti), won 6-0

V Rayon Sport (Rwanda, ) won 1-0

V APR, won 2-0

Vital’O vient de graver à jamais son nom dans les annales de la CECAFA Kagame Cup en remportant ledit trophée pour la toute première fois dans l’Histoire du football burundais. Bravo !
