After CECAFA , Kenya heads to Burundi for CHAN

The Kenyan team led by Coach Henri Michel will this weekend play Burundi in the first leg of the African Nations Championships (CHAN) preliminary round qualifier match. The match will be staged at the Prince Louis Stadium in Bujumbura on Sunday 16th December 2012 and the return leg set for early next year.

Coach Henri Michel’s team resumed training on Monday after a weekend break and is expected to depart Nairobi for Burundi either on Thursday or Friday.

Burundi is coached by Egyptian coach Mohamed Lofty and captained by Selemani Ndikumana who scored three goals at the just concluded CECAFA challenge cup.

Goalkeepers: Jerim Onyango (Gor Mahia), Boniface Oluoch (Tusker), Patrick Matasi (AFC).

Defenders: Edwin Wafula (Leopards), Eugene Asike (Sofapaka), George Owino (Sofapaka), Christopher Wekesa (Gor Mahia), Clifton Miheso (Thika), James Situma (Sofapaka)

Midfielders: Anthony Akumu (Gor Mahia), Osborne Monday (Sofapaka), Peter Opiyo (Tusker), Charles Okwemba (Leopards), Andrew Tololwa (Mathare), Francis Kahata (Thika United), Moses Odhiambo (Gor Mahia).

Strikers: Wesley Kemboi (Western Stima), Moses Arita (Thika), Francis Ouma (Mathare), Ismail Salim (Sony Sugar), Paul Mungai Kiongera (KCB)
