Athletico Olympique joue contre l’AS Vita Club demain
Excellente prestation au premier tour lors des matchs de poules pour notre représentant à Dar-es-Salaam. Sortis premiers de leur groupe, les poulains de Kaze Cédric devront tout faire pour éliminer l’AS Vita Club de la RDC demain en quart de finale. Une équipe qu’Athletico Olympique connait bien pour l’avoir rencontrée en Ligue des Champions cette année. Scores : 5-0 pour les congolais à l’aller à Kinshasa et 4-1 pour les burundais au retour à Bujumbura.
Athletico Olympique a, jusqu’ici, fait une bonne prestation en Tanzanie. Voici le classement dudit groupe :
1. Athletico Olympique (Burundi) : 7 points sur 9, goal average : +7 (qualifié)
2. Young Africans (Tanzanie) : 6 points sur 9, goal average : +6 (qualifié)
3. APR FC (Rwanda) : 4 points sur 9, goal average : +5 (qualifié)
4. Wau Salaam (Sud Soudan) : 0 point sur 9, goal average : -18 (éliminé)
NB : APR FC qui, en phase de poules, avait perdu devant Young Africans par 0-2 a créé la surprise cet après-midi en battant URA (Uganda Revenew Authority) par 2-1 en quart de finale. URA avait bien commencé et d’aucuns voyaient cette équipe en finale. Et bien non ! APR du Rwanda a éliminé URA d’Ouganda contre toute attente et à la surprise générale. Ainsi va le foot ! APR va en demi-finale.
On espère qu’Athletico Olympique fera comme son voisin du nord demain au courant de l’après-midi. Bonne chance à nos vaillants garçons.
Toujours en quart de finale, Young Africans de Tanzanie a éliminé Mafunzo de Zanzibar sur tirs au but : 5-4. C’est donc Young Africans qui arrache son billet pour les demi-finales.
